Volunteers Brave Rain to Turn Future Habitat Build Site into Positive Space
Thanks to the volunteers who made it out to the Lowes Volunteer Day at the Simpson Street Property, a future Habitat For Humanity Portland/East Metro build site. Lowes employees worked with volunteers in the morning to install a fence along the backside of the property.
The Cully Walking Group scheduled their bi-weekly neighborhood clean-up to coincide with the event, and arrived in the afternoon to pick up trash and install raised garden beds. We can’t wait to get back out there to plant in the spring! Maybe next time it will be a little warmer!
