Through its work in NE Portland’s Cully Neighborhood, Living Cully reinterprets sustainability as an anti-poverty strategy by concentrating environmental investments at the neighborhood scale and braiding those investments with traditional community development resources. The Living Cully partners are: Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East, Hacienda Community Development Corporation (CDC), The Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) and Verde.
Portland State sociologists, in partnership with Living Cully and Verde, will be conducting research on the unmet employment needs of people in the Cully neighborhood.
