Welcome Sunshine, Organizer for the Black Community Organizing Initiative!

We are eager to welcome Sunshine Dixon (pictured left) to Living Cully as an organizer for the Black-Community Organizing Initiative. Two years ago Living Cully and Taren Evans, former Neighborhood Revitalization Manager at Habitat for Humanity Portland Metro/East, obtained grant money to start outreach efforts to address the needs of the black community which has largely been underserved by existing Living Cully community organizing efforts. We are grateful for the work started by our first organizer ShaToyia Bentley. Sunshine has been a member of the Living Cully African American Community Organizing committee since the group began two years ago. She is known for her creativity and gift for connecting with others. Welcome, Sunshine!
